ACTS of Kindness
In celebration of his birthday, Glen Harrison asked his friends and loved ones to serve the community.
If you know Glen Harrison, an attendee of Woodmen Heights Campus, then it might not come as a surprise that he would jump at an opportunity to serve the needs of our community…even on his birthday.
In celebration of his 80th birthday, instead of receiving gifts, Glen Harrison requested friends and loved ones to donate to the ACTS food pantry.
On Glen's birthday, the pantry received more guests than usual - each carrying a bag of items to donate.
“The pantry gained almost 350 items for the shelves! What a blessing!” said Margaret Birky.
Partnering with seven local ministries and organizations as well as local schools here in the Pikes Peak region, ACTS focuses on sharing God’s love in tangible ways. However, ACTS ability to serve our city is largely dependent upon the contribution of members of Woodmen Valley Chapel. Stop by your Woodmen Valley Chapel Campus’s food pantry and donate non-perishable food and toiletry items in partnership with ACTS to meet the needs of our community together.
