Special Needs (Access)

It is Woodmen’s desire to come alongside individuals and families affected by special needs so that they are welcomed and included in the services, programs and events at Woodmen.

  • Access opens the door to share the Gospel with families affected by disabilities and to introduce them to a personal relationship with God. (Romans 6:23)
  • Access integrates those with disabilities into the life of the church and gives them opportunity to have active roles in serving God. (1 Corinthians 12: 21-26)
  • Access enables the church to serve as a witness or model to the community in meeting the spiritual, physical and social needs of families affected by disabilities. Acts 1:8)

A "SHADOW" is someone who comes alongside a child/peer/adult to lovingly help them engage in the various programs at Woodmen. Our desire is for the participant to experience God and participate in the body of Christ to their God-given potential, while the parent or caregiver attends our main worship service. Depending upon your desires, and your loved one’s abilities and needs, they can be fully, or partially included in the general programs and activities at Woodmen.

If your child could benefit from having a shadow, please contact us prior to your first visit so we can give you more information and provide for your needs.
