Monument Campus

Campus Details:

Woodmen has more than one campus but each shares the same vision and DNA.

We might not be totally objective, but those of us who attend the Monument campus are pretty sure that it’s the very best! The campus launched in 2015, and you’ll find lots of friendly people who are excited about the new things God is doing in our community.

But, first off, you might be asking, Why does Woodmen have more than one campus? Good question!

Experience has taught us that we have to get smaller to get bigger. As we welcome more people to Woodmen, it’s important to invite them into smaller communities. Our campuses play a vital role in cultivating caring communities where relationships can thrive. So if you live in Monument, Black Forest, Palmer Lake, or anywhere in the northern part of Colorado Springs, we’d love for you to join us.

At Woodmen Monument, you’ll find lively, friendship that begins in weekend services and continues through Community Groups and lots of great serving opportunities. We meet each weekend at Bear Creek Elementary School, so our awesome Woodmen Kids ministry is blessed with great facilities and ministry for your children.

In each weekend worship service, our campuses share the same songs led by a live worship team. Most weekends, we share the same teaching brought by our lead pastor of teaching and vision, Josh Lindstrom. Several times each year, we’ll host independent weekends so we can share special moments like baptisms and child dedications with our Monument church family.

Our campus pastor, Doug Olsen, is here to care for the Monument congregation. Feel free to email Doug with any questions about the great stuff happening at Monument, and be sure to ask him what makes this campus and community special!

For lots of guests, our weekend services are the front door to Woodmen. Services are a great place to encounter God through heartfelt worship and biblical teaching. To find out more about weekends at Woodmen, click here.

Next Steps

We’d love to get to know you better and help you feel at home. That’s why we have a spot called Connect Central right outside the auditorium at Monument. WOODMEN MONUMENT EVENTS

Monument Office

The staff office and meeting space for the Monument campus is co-located in the Greater European Mission Building at 18960 Base Camp Rd, Monument, CO 80132. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Directions

We are in the Greater Europe Mission building, located just east of I-25 south of Palmer Ridge High School. From Hwy 105, turn north on Woodmoor Drive and take the first left after the Park & Ride on to Monument Hill Rd. Then, take a right on to Deer Creek Drive and then a left on to Base Camp Road. When you approach the building, we are in the northwest corner, so you’ll want to turn into the SECOND parking lot north of the building, NOT the first lot. Drive all the way to the end of the building and you’ll see a row of windows with a glass door. We are there. Ring the bell so we know you’ve arrived. We have offices, a small group meeting room and access to several large group spaces with pre-reservation.

SNOW CLOSURE INFO

Snow removal and closure decisions are handled by the school district 38. This policy includes weekends.

How will THE congregation be notified?
• Email: If you’re not receiving Monument emails, please let us know.
• Woodmen Website: Visit woodmenvalley.org. Look for a red alert bar at the top of the page.
• TV: Check local TV stations, but be aware that this is the least accurate method, as the district communicates with the TV stations, not Woodmen.

Is it possible for just the Monument campus to close?
Yes! Due to the variance in weather, our Monument campus may be closed, while our Rockrimmon and Woodmen Heights campuses are open.

If we’re closed on Saturday, does that mean we’re closed on Sunday, too?
In the event of a Saturday closure, the conditions would be re-evaluated by the district for Sunday. We may be closed Saturday and open Sunday for an 11 am service.

What about Woodmen Students on Sunday evening?
If our Monument campus is closed on a Sunday morning, there will be no Woodmen Students that Sunday evening. Weather permitting, your students are welcome and encouraged to attend services at Rockrimmon or Woodmen Heights.
