Military Ministry

We salute you!

Colorado Springs is the proud home of many military installations. With that pride comes the recognition that our military men and women and their families have unique gifts and challenges as they serve our country. Our military ministry is a place for both civilians and military families to gather for prayer, encouragement, and support. We would be honored to assist you and your family in connecting at Woodmen. If you are deploying or your spouse is deployed, please contact us so we can support and maintain contact with you.

Serve in Military Ministry

There are many opportunities to serve our military members and their families attending Woodmen Valley. Members of the military family are also encouraged to serve. If you have a heart to serve, especially our military family, contact the Military Ministry: 719.388.4939

WELCOME TEAM: Military life is defined with frequent moves that have an emotional and physical impact. It is critical that we welcome and assist our military in becoming assimilated as soon as possible. The Welcome Team “Scouts” out new arrivals contacts them and follows up with the initial connection. They will also identify needs that the Military Ministry or other members of the Woodmen staff can address.

PRAYER TEAM: We are a Ministry of prayer and intercession. The Team will respond to prayer requests and initiate prayer for chaplains and the needs of our armed forces.

SUPPORT TEAM:  Members of this Team will come alongside military members and their families to assist and support their spiritual needs. Deployment support is one critical area that will receive priority.

DISCIPLESHIP TEAM: Spiritual growth is the fundamental core of the Military Ministry. Members of this Team may be involved in mentoring, teaching or small groups.

ADMINISTRATION TEAM: Administration falls generally into to areas, administration and events. Specific requirements will be defined as needed.
