SABBATH WEEKs
During sabbath weeks, we'll take a break from mid-week events at each Woodmen campus--except for a Wednesday Night of Prayer and Worship. We want to intentionally create space to slow down and hear from the Lord as a church family. What's the heart behind these sabbath weeks? Read on to find out more.
Rhythm. It's something many in our culture overlook and something to which we would probably all benefit from giving a little more attention; We were not created for constant motion. Many people burn the candle at both ends, rising early, staying up late into the night, and with a day full of tasks and activities in-between.
For us at Woodmen, this year is going to be different. This year we will intentionally slow down every seventh week to remind ourselves that our God is in control and that He allows us (even encourages us) to take breaks. Instead of going from thing to thing, we want to slow down and seek to be with one another in some intentional ways and connect with those in our church whom we may not otherwise have had the opportunity to do so.
