Leader(s): Kitty Kok
Kitty Kok, of Dutch descent, was born and raised in Indonesia. While living in this beautiful island nation, the Japanese invaded in their quest for expansion after their attack on Pearl Harbor. Kitty and her family spent several years in concentration camps. They suffered from horrific abuse, deep malnourishment and poor living conditions. By God’s grace, she and her family survived. Ninety years old this fall, Kitty has shared her story in churches throughout the country. As a spiritual director, author and speaker, Kitty opens up about the years her family was imprisoned, her resulting struggles with PTSD and depression, and her ultimate freedom found in forgiveness. Join us on October 11th to hear her powerful testimony of survival, hope and forgiveness—and God’s loving guidance through it all.
