About the Talk: “The greatest mass of [people] lead lives of quiet desperation” – our goal is to move from quiet desperation to honest conversation. We believe all Christ followers are well situated to be significant sources of hope and healing for those impacted by mental health illnesses and suicide. This is especially true for us, parents and leaders.
Adolescence is a time of critical change and development. It’s when many personal challenges first emerge. The goal of this session is to facilitate youth-specific discussions on the challenges of mental health, suicide and the impact these have on our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of who we are. This conversational presentation desires to equip parents with tools and resources to cultivate a soul-safe place for their students around the topics of mental health, suicide and faith.
