Seven Letters
When it comes to the New Testament letter of Revelation, people often make one of two errors. They either dive in headfirst and after examining every detail make assertive judgments about all of them, or they ignore it all together. Both responses, in our opinion, are wrong. While it is a complex book and faithful followers of Jesus do not agree on everything it teaches, we do want to engage in what we can know and seek to understand it. In the seven weeks that follow, we take Jesus’ words to the seven churches to heart, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7).
