Zambia March 2020

Our Zambia team has been training over the past few months, preparing to serve at the CURE Hospital in Lusaka from March 12-22, 2020. We have a team of seven going to work at the pediatric teaching hospital specializing in the treatment and care of children with physical disabilities.

The team is ready with open hearts to serve in whatever capacity needed - in the consult area and the ward developing relationships with the children and their families as they wait for surgery, in the kitchen as they prepare meals for the patients and their families, in the children’s room hosting a program in the afternoon and some of our medical professionals will serve alongside the hospital workers in the treatment and surgical areas.

At CURE Hospitals around the world, there are 65 surgical procedures performed and 43 faith expressions witnessed every day. With a five-day work week that means they performed 16,900 surgeries last year and saw 11,180 people come to faith in Christ! One child at a time, they bring healing to physical conditions that would be treated immediately after birth in the USA. In doing so, they radically change the course of a child’s life and point them to Jesus the entire way.

Our team is excited about serving and the many chances they will have to love, encourage and pray with families as their children await and recover from life-changing surgeries! What a privilege it is for them to be able to serve with CURE in this extraordinary work!
