Zambia 2024 - Day 7
Today was a great way to come to a close with the hospital. We started off the morning with pancakes and prayer before heading off to home visits. After being discharged from the hospital, CURE will go to visit some of their patients at their homes. We were lucky enough to go along with them. We went to visit two homes this morning and we were so blessed to be welcomed in by the families!! We were greeted by the biggest smiles and got to love on and sing for the two girls we visited! They may have been impoverished in the materialistic sense but they were rich in their spiritual walk.
After we ate some delicious lunch we headed for the Ward. We walked in just in time to catch a seat for the Bible study they host for all the caregivers. They started with songs and the Ward was filled with voices. They didn’t even need music to sound beautiful. After 2 songs Pastor T asked for testimonies from the caregivers. We got to hear 4 testimonies from caregivers that just showed us how good God is. Pastor T then shared a message of encouragement and finished it all in prayer.
After that we got to play with all the kids one last time. We got to go around and we played with bubbles and chalk outside. We did bracelets and coloring inside.
We just got to play and play with kids for 3 hours before we got called to do one last event… let’s just say we all brought out our inner rapper. We got to help a nurse at CURE who has a side hustle of rapping!! And after meeting him at the Braai he asked us if we would want to be in his new music video!! So this evening we got to show off our dance moves and rapping skills!! And now we will have the best truth for two truths and a lie! And for that you’ll just have to wait and see when it comes out!
It was such an amazing day and I can’t wait to see how much the Lord will continue to move.
