Service day and VBS night 1

We went down to eat breakfast and the morning devotional was a good lesson for what we have been learning and talking about throughout this trip. After morning devo we went on our way to the city mission outreach and we were able to help the staff with unloading and reloading big crates of clothes and furniture. After we reloaded we went inside of the church and listened to a few testimonies from people who work there and serve there as well as Alfred. Then we got to pray and head out to the International Peace Garden. Before we went into the peace garden we ate lunch and talked. We got to experience something I have never done or been close to doing. The peace garden is really cool because there has never been any crime reported inside the gates but there has been outside of the gates around the blocks. The peace garden was a really cool and pretty experience. After we left the peace garden we went to Genesis project church to set up eat dinner and practice our dances for VBS. We did VBS for 2 hours and had a great time with all the kids dancing! After the VBS we did our debrief at Genesis Project then we headed back to the hotel. Once we got there, we made lunches, showered, and went to bed! We miss everyone and can’t wait to come home and tell our stories!
