Fort Collins 2024 - Day 4 & 5

Day 4: Noelle: VBS was great and I got to connect with the kids more since they were more open and warmed up to the leaders I saw how much more into worship the were, especially with dancing. During the trailer park it was really hot out but we got to see the community and they were so grateful. During our time at the trailer park we had dad and daughter give out popsicles and later a little boy came and gave us probiotic drinks. It’s just such a sweet community and there were little kids asking if we wanted water because the day was so hot. Later there was cul de sac where we saw little girls waving and playing hide and seek in the windows. Later we went to the dumpsters to help unload and help out more. We got back and had to speed run showers. We went to the trampoline park later that night and some of us got stuck in the ball pit. It was lots of fun. Gabe popped so many peoples backs before we left to get back to the church. We were all really connecting especially in our crazy car ride back to the church where we were singing and dancing and Gabe made the car dance and we were jamming out to music and the devotional and journaling time was a great way to unwind and we went to bed soon after that.

Day 5: Harmony: this morning we got sleep an extra hour because we didn’t have VBS. Even with that I slept in an extra fifteen minutes and my friend was whispering in my ear to get up. After breakfast we had to pack up everything which was really sad but I was excited to go home. It was sad realizing that it would probably be the last time I see some of my friends. Then after cleaning we went to the bbq to celebrate the work that we’ve done. I hung out with Garrett and he said that he was going to start a skate board store with French fries and tater tots but only the normal ones. And then we started singing way maker and garret started beatboxing which made me and my friends laugh. After we did that and had some pretty good food, we prayed over all the work that we had done and the upcoming mission trip to Portland, Oregon for the GP students. This will be their first mission trip ever annd they are taking our Awesomeness Academy content for VBS.  Afterwards it was time to get ready to go home. We went to Buc-ee’s which was my first time there. I got an icee, peanut butter mnm’s, and skittles. Ethan told me I’m 80. Also my good friend Natalie bought me some cookies to share then we were off to castle rock where we would get some Chick-fil-A (I got the nuggets if you must ask).
