Salt Lake City July 2019 Day 4
Cassidy Hall- Today was really fun because we got to visit one of the Mormon temples and it was very interesting to learn about their religion and how we are very different in beliefs.
Liz Dierlam- So, today we went to the Blue House, which is in fact, blue. We pulled a lot of weeds, painted some tables, and organized around the house. After cleaning, we asked three members of the church of LDS. Some of the group went to a man’s house to pull weeds and clean up his gardens. It was super cool to help. It was a great day.
Sammi Rivera - After visiting the temple and doing community service around the city we had pizza at the blue house and we got to interrogate a Mormon couple. It was interesting because sometimes they would contradict each other and it was really confusing. When we talked to them they would always try to bring the subject back to the similarities between the two religions. They also never answered our questions directly, so they would share Mormon beliefs around the questions but never answer directly. The man would keep stating bible verses from which they got their religion, but you could tell it was misinterpreted. Even though our questions didn’t get answered, it was fun to hear more about what they believe
