Guatemala July 2019 Day 2

Today we did VBS! We started off the day with an early start, a quick breakfast, and of corse jamming to loud music on the bus ride to the village. Once we arrived at the school where we were doing VBS for the local kids, we started off with music. We had previously split into different groups so we can all lead different portions of the camp. The music team was up first, and the kids enjoyed our attempt at singing in Spanish. Next was the skit where we got to act out the story of Noah and the arc. From there we split into small groups, where we taught the Guatemalan kids about health and how to avoid germs, made picture framed with a polaroid picture of themselves to keep and take home, and of corse to beat the heat, water games outside!

Through all the fun, we also saw God move in big ways. What was a blessing to us was that when we arrived for day two, many of the kids remembered us and ran up to us to give us big hugs, and even remembered our names!
