Zambia Day 9, 2023

Well, we are on our way back. 

It’s my prayer that your loved ones are coming back changed for the better, humbled by God’s grace and God’s Kingdom, and full of stories, experiences, and memories to share. 

Personally, this trip has proved incredibly special to me. Beit Cure hospital in Zambia has quickly become a safe haven for me over the trips I’ve led here, and to be able to see the students loving so well always gets me emotional. Although we are bound to be emotionally and physically exhausted, I believe we are coming home spiritually full. 

We connected with our brothers and sisters overseas, we became known as “aunties” and “uncles” to dozens of children, and we partnered with an incredible organization. We learned about one another, we cried together, sang together, prayed together, and grew together. 

Our students rejoiced in the truth; hoped in all things, and endured all things, knowing that love never fails. I’m so incredibly proud of them. They have worked hard and loved others with a Christlike fashion. We got to see lives changed through Christ to those that we served, but we also were beneficiaries of Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross. 

I could go on…but I won’t. Reach out and ask the students about what God has done. Please pray for our safe travels home and that we don’t forget how incredible this trip was!!
