HS Estonia - Music Camp - July 13th

Today started as usual with a meeting in the morning followed by a good Estonian breakfast. We then immediately went into the first session where we heard from Shelby, a native Coloradan who has spent the last decade living in the Czech Republic as a missionary for Josiah Venture. Workshop 1 came next and a few from our team went to their various workshops to teach and practice for the Saturday show. The rest of the team took out trash and cleaned showers during this time. Then we had choir practice and went through the songs for the show. After lunch was a several hour break where we got to hang out with the Estonians, play games (like volleyball and ping pong) and write letters for personal “mailboxes” we all created on day 1. Also during this time anyone in a band rehearsed for the show. After dinner we had session 2 where we learned about the final activity of the day called The Labyrinth. For this we all split up and walked through the labyrinth with our small groups. On the walk there were different stations which explained the basics of Christianity and what Christ did for us, and allowed for a lot of personal reflection. At the end of this walk was a crossroad where you had to choose which way you wanted to go. For those who wanted to pray with a leader after the walk, it was an extremely meaningful time. Some people gave their life to Christ for the very first time, some already knew Jesus but wanted to recommit their lives to Him, and others just needed to process and pray. After the labyrinth we gathered around a big campfire where people got to share stories, sing, talk with friends, and eat marshmallows over a fire. To finish out the day, our Woodmen team had a debrief together where we talked about everything that had happened today: good and bad, how we saw God moving, and then I got to share my testimony for the team. Finally we all headed for our beds.
