SALT LAKE CITY - Day 5

Today we went into downtown Salt Lake City! We spent all morning going around the city seeing The Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) sights and asking our questions to the tour guides. We got to go to Temple Square and everyone learned a lot. I learned about Joseph Smith and how he rewrote the Bible for the LDS community. We had lunch and talked with Russ East about his salvation story. After lunch we went to Russ' "blue house", which is a site where he hosts Christian missionaries but is now turning it into a Bible history museum! We helped out with a car wash, painted fences, trimmed bushes, and cleaned the house. We showered and talked to a couple who used to be LDS but became Christians. We headed back in to Genesis Project and had Sonic and did debrief. Then we went straight to bed!
