Zambia Day 3, 2023

Today was our first full day full of activities and fun memories! We started off the day waking up around 7:30. We were all so sleepy from the night before so we were very well rested from all the tiredness of traveling. After eating breakfast we headed to church around 8:30. The Sunday school church started at 9 and the actual service started at 10. We attended both services and it was such a cool experience to attend a different church and learn more about their culture. We took communion together, and after church we headed to lunch at a place called the Marlin. The food was delicious and everyone loved it! We then were surprised by some ice cream from one of the staff members from Cure. After enjoying our ice cream we walked around the mall for awhile and then ended up at the market where everyone got to bargain (even though we spent way too much money on all the Zambian souvenirs). Then we headed to the grocery store to stock on some groceries for the week and headed back to the hospital for the night. On the way home, our lovely bus driver King Barnabas played a game with us and made us guide him on how to get back without directions. After a couple wrong turns and a brief panic on how to get back, we finally made it. We ended up walking to get pizza again for dinner and we had a dance party outside on the way back from picking up the pizza. After eating we ended the night with debrief and playing our nightly ritual of a game of Scum and then went to bed. Tomorrow we start working with the kids at the hospital!
