Guatemala Day 4

It's halfway through our trip and while everyone is loving the trip so far...we are definitely tired. So tonight you get a blog from a leader because to be honest I would rather our students get some rest than sit and type up a blog :)

The day looked similar to our previous days with VBS, a work project, lunch while hearing a testimony of a local, VBS, delivering water filters to homes and then back to Mimi's house for dinner and debrief. While the schedule looked the same it was evident that the day wasn't the same. The team is much more outgoing and willing to jump into conversations with the kids. House visits have been a highlight as we meet with locals and are welcomed into their homes. The bus ride to and from Cruz Blanca tends to make us a bit carsick and we have gotten to be good friends with the flies that hang out in the bus, but it's worth it. We chopped down some trees and carried lots of concrete for a wall-- [from my perspective] some good manual labor is good for all of us. The team has grown closer as we hear each others testimonies and pray alongside each other.

Pray that we would all get rest and remember to drink lots of water tomorrow. Most importantly that we would all see God at work around us and be able to serve well. We will have our final day of VBS and are already sad thinking about it ending. Our team is learning and processing so much along the way.

The crafts team painted today and the kids were creative with their watercolors. Noah let kids paint his arms and they thought that was hilarious.

The worship team learned some of the kids favorite song in spanish and it is now a new favorite. It's about a toad who has a friend named Jesus.

The Word team has continued to make the kids laugh while they act out Bible stories. They taught the kids to play heads up seven up as well.

The application team made bracelets and Everett drank 10 cups of koolaid with hot sauce, pepper and salt in it.

The games team played with parachutes, tug of war, four corners and the human knot. The kids ask over and over when they can be with the games team because they are having so much fun.
