Guatemala Day 2

Today was our first day of service in Cruz Blanca at the school doing our VBS groups. It was very beautiful to see the country side and meet our interpreters on the long ride over to the school. Once we arrived we were showered with greetings and high fives. We then went into our five VBS groups: Team word, Team worship, team application, team games, team crafts. Every single group loved what they were doing to serve and the interactions and connections made throughout the day with the kids and teachers. The biggest frustration and struggle was the language barrier, but the biggest joy was seeing the smiles on the kids faces and their never ending joy towards us "Americans."

After we finished up at the school we went into homes and delivered water filters to families in the Cruz Blanca community. This was some of the biggest impact in all of our days, was seeing these families unwavering faith with God despite the conditions that they live in.

For dinner we had delicious tacos from a taco truck that came to Mimi's and in debrief we sang, went into some of the word, and shared some testimonies. It was amazing to hear what others have gone through on their path to and with God.
