Guatemala College update #1

We have arrived in Guatemala! After a long day of travel, we are excited to have arrived where we’re staying for the night and ate dinner at 9:30pm. Tomorrow we will make the drive up into the mountains to the city where we’ll be staying (Chiquimula) and the village where we will be serving (Jicamapa). 

Today, by the time we landed, I had received texts from 8 different people saying they had been keeping our travels in prayer and they would continue praying for the week ahead. Students commented that friends and family had reached out saying the same. Let me just tell you— we felt it. I find the phrase “traveling mercies” a little funny but we had them today! No forgotten passports, no flight delays, no trouble with connections or customs, no one feeling less than stellar from eating airport food all day… God is good! We’re so thankful for all of you who are journeying with us and please know that your prayers make a difference. Please continue in prayer that we would stay healthy and able to serve God with our whole hearts, minds and strengths.
