Dominican Republic #2

Most of our team didn’t sleep during the all-night red-eye flight!  While we were exhausted when arriving at the base in Santiago, the excitement to meet the leaders and start learning about the ministry created the necessary adrenaline to make it through the orientation. We started our week early Monday with personal devos, worship and teaching. After breakfast the medical team and kids educational team left for their ministry sites. The sports team stayed on base to play soccer with local kids.  In the afternoon, the sports team visited the kids in their homes, walking through the community with John and Josue, the full-time leaders of the sports ministry.  Building long term relationships is a high value for the leaders at Students International. We are excited to join in developing relationships and for the ways we will serve in the week ahead!
