Day 1 - Estonia - High School - Iris Jones

Today’s the day! It’s time for our mission trip to Estonia! We met at the Rockrimmon campus at 10:30am. From there we carpooled to DIA. After going through security, our travel groups went to get food. Now it’s time for the dreaded 9 hour flight! The flight consisted of watching movies, playing games, eating, and most of all sleeping. A long layover in Frankfurt, Germany was what came next. The team got yummy food from a bakery and also tried the classic Frankfurters. To pass the time, we played card games and slept. Around 2:30, we boarded the plane to Tallinn, where most of us caught up on a few hours of sleep. When we went to baggage claim, we thought we were going to have some missing bags, but thankfully all our bags arrived. Praise the Lord! Then we got picked up and taken to the hotel by two members of Josiah Venture. The drive to the hotel was very scenic and informative. We then dropped our bags off in our rooms and headed to dinner with interns from Josiah Venture and another mission trip team. Dinner was at a upscale buffet place called Lito. Once we were back at the hotel, we did a debrief and then went to bed! Such an eventful day and I’m so excited for everything God has in store!
