HS Guatemala Trip Day 5

Hola!!! Guatemala is so gorgeous. Today we went to some Mayan Ruins and walked around there for a couple of hours. After that we went and had lunch in Antigua before going to a market and practicing our bargaining. Not everyone understood the assignment. Many of us bought blankets and bracelets. Once we finished, we had gelato and toured a jade museum. After that it was time for dinner. Dinner was delicious (The restaurant did American food better than America) and after a long day of walking we are all ready for bed.

Every girl loves shopping, am I right? Today we we went shopping in Antigua and shopped til we dropped. I bought some pretty great souvenirs and I also had a great time bargaining! We also went to the chocolate factory and had some fantastic gelato. After that we went to the jade museum and we got a free tour and it was entertaining to learn how jade jewelry is created. I had some gas food today. Bought some cool stuff at the market. It’s hilarious how desperate they are to sell stuff, they will bring the price down like 50% sometimes.

The nachos I had were amazing and it was so fun to talk to all the vendors and see how cheap you can get stuff. Some of the girls were not very good at brining the price down.
