Salt Lake City - Day 3

The Carnival

After a hearty breakfast, we all loaded into the vans and headed to a park for a community outreach activity. This was run by Victory Church. 

We helped set up for the event and then went to a great church service where Pastor Alfred gave a sermon from 1 Timothy. After the church service, we each split off to do different jobs at the carnival. Some people handed out snacks and lunch while others worked the bounce houses. One of the most exciting parts of the carnival was seeing our leaders and friends get dunked in the dunk tank.

After the carnival was over we helped clean up and unload everything back at Victory Church.

We all packed in the vans and headed over to Willard Bay for swimming in the lake and playing on the water jungle gym. The pastor of Victory provided hamburgers on the beach.

When a windstorm hit, we hurried into the vans and headed back to where we are staying. At the church one of Kirby’s friends, Robert, shared his amazing testimony. Finally, we debriefed in our campus groups and are heading to bed. We are really excited to see what God has in store for tomorrow.
