Students - July 2021 - Salt Lake City - Day 6

Today we started with a delicious breakfast that consisted of the same things that we had every day. We then filled the water coolers, half the group headed to a small church to help with landscaping (that’s what I did), while the other half went to another church to help them move buildings. At the church, where we did landscaping we pulled weeds, moved mulch, trimmed bushes, and dug trenches. It was tough work! The other group helped a small church move into a bigger space so that they can help more people.

After our work there, we went to the Genesis Project (GP) to hang out with their wonderful students group. After an hour of time there, we headed to Willard Bay with the GP students. Willard Bay is a gigantic inflatable water park. We split our group in half. Half went on the park while the other half ate their Chick-fil-A.

I really felt that God was working within our mission group and the GP kids’ lives. I am so glad that I was able to go this trip. I have learned so much about how to be a helping hand and I have also gotten to understand and draw near to God.
