MAKE A CONNECTION

Is this your first time at Woodmen? Or maybe you’ve been around for a while but you’re ready to take a next step. If you’d like to find out more about who we are as a church and how you can get involved, stop by Connect Central after today’s service. You’ll find friendly volunteers there who are ready to hear your story and share ideas to help you find community at Woodmen. We’ll also have a gift for you just to say Thanks for stopping by!

BACKYARD SUMMER CAMP

This year’s Summer Day Camp will be a backyard blast! Our goal is to create natural opportunities for families to gather in backyards across the Pikes Peak region and build relationships with neighbors. As you and your kids connect with neighbors, our prayer is that you’ll grow in your relationship with God and others while contributing to the mission of the gospel in our city. This year’s video-based camp is called SPACE BLAST and it takes flight on June 7-10, with hours of fun in store for boys and girls age three through sixth grade. Each camper will receive a drawstring bag with a camp t-shirt, camp booklet, snacks, supplies for each session and access to all the camp videos. Get more info or sign up RIGHT HERE.

THE LOVEWELL FUND

To increase our impact in serving and sharing the love of Jesus with our city and beyond, we’re inviting the people of Woodmen to give generously to the LoveWell Fund. This fund is focused outside the walls of the church, providing help and hope for people in need. We’re partnering with local ministries and organizations across El Paso county, providing practical care for those who are hungry or without homes. We’re coming alongside first responders and offering a hand to local small business owners. If you’re in a position to give over and above your regular tithes and offerings ⏤ perhaps you recently received a COVID relief check and you have an opportunity for generosity ⏤ we hope you’ll join us in blessing our city through the LoveWell Fund. THE WOODMEN SOCIAL

Woodmen’s podcast, The Woodmen Social, is holding space for tough conversations from a gospel-centered perspective. We’re tackling tough topics that can too often divide people—even brothers and sisters in Christ. We’re really listening to one another with a heart for grace and unity. Don’t miss the latest episode, called, Are We Persecuted? Join Pastor Kurt Birky and Silas Balraj in this engaging hour, as they explore the state of religious persecution around the globe. We hear about ways that we can help Christ-followers who are suffering around the world and we seek to learn from them as we navigate an increasingly post-Christian culture at home. Give it a listen RIGHT HERE.

GENEROUS THANKS

Thanks to your generous gifts, life-changing ministry is happening every day through Woodmen. Your investment in the gospel is spreading God’s love across the Pikes Peak region and around the globe. We want to keep you up-to-date on finances, so here’s a snapshot as of April 12:

Year-to-date budget (fiscal year beginning October 1, 2020): $ 6,867,000
Year-to-date general tithes and offerings: $ 6,042,199
Shortfall: $    824,801

We’re grateful to our good God for all He provides. Although year-to-date tithes and offerings are running behind initial budget projections, we’re monitoring expenses carefully to ensure a solid foundation to sustain the ongoing work of ministry. If you’d like to participate financially in the ways God is moving through Woodmen, you’ll find offering boxes at each Woodmen campus, or you can get started giving online RIGHT HERE.

PARENT-CHILD DEDICATIONS

Kids are a big deal at Woodmen, so one of the special moments in the life of our church is parent-child dedications. If you would like to make a public commitment to raise your children in accordance with the principles of God’s Word, you can find more info RIGHT HERE.
