ACTS Southwest

We believe God planted us in Colorado Springs for a reason. So while we also serve in other countries and contexts around the world, our ACTS team focuses on sharing God’s love right here in southwestern Colorado Springs.

We partner with Stratton Meadows Elementary and Family Life Services.

Feeding Families

For many children, facing a weekend away from school, where meals are provided, can be an unsettling time.

Woodmen Southwest has partnered with Stratton Meadows Elementary to provide ACTS Packs full of food to assist families while their children are not in school. Each week, a team assembles 20 backpacks and delivers them to the school, where children can pick them up and take them home for the weekend. Support this ministry by dropping off your donations in any Feeding Families bin.

Most needed items for the Backpacks:
  • Goldfish, Oyster, Saltine & Ritz crackers
  • Protein & Breakfast Bars
  • Individual Snacks
  • Trail Mix
  • Fruit Cups or Pouches
  • Jelly - plastic bottles
  • Parmesan Cheese - small jars
  • Juice boxes
  • Oatmeal
  • Tuna packets
  • Chili - canned

    • Also consider providing:
  • Extra backpacks
  • Notes / cards of encouragement for the kids
