Best Easter Ever!

April 10, 2019

We’re excited to celebrate Jesus this Easter. Here are three ways you can join in:

Lots of friends and neighbors will join us for Easter services at one of our 20 services across five campuses this Easter weekend. Many of these guests haven’t yet discovered the hope and love found only in Jesus. Will you pray that the Holy Spirit will move in powerful ways and change lives this Easter?

Have you invited a friend or family member to join you for an Easter service? Now is the perfect time to text a friend and ask them to experience Easter with you!

It takes hundreds of us all working together to make Easter awesome at Woodmen. We’d love to have you be part of the Easter serving fun! Lots of folks attend a service and serve at another. You can sign up HERE

Our Good Friday services at Woodmen are reflective and reverent, as we remember Christ’s death for us. This year’s Good Friday message is the powerful conclusion to our Jesus: The Sacrifice teaching series from the Gospel of Mark. The celebration of Christ’s resurrection takes on deeper meaning as we more fully understand the depth of Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross. We hope you’ll plan to join us.

News from Pastor Josh for You

MARCH 1, 2019

GET TO KNOW ROB FLANEGIN

Woodmen’s Elders provide direction and oversee doctrine and care across all of our campuses. Check out the video as Pastor Josh introduces Rob Flanegin, a candidate for our Elder Council. If you have concerns about Rob as an Elder after reviewing the biblical standards outlined in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3, please give him an opportunity to resolve the concerns by emailing him directly. If you’d like to learn a bit more about the current members of our Elder Council click here.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ONE HOUR

Good things happen when God’s people unite in prayer. Prayer makes a difference and throughout Scripture we see the Lord move in amazing ways when his people turn their hearts to him and pray. That’s why we’re calling the entire Woodmen church family— calling you — to be part of one hour of our 24 Hours of Prayer coming up on Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9. If you’re concerned about praying for a whole hour, we’ve got you covered. We’ll have suggestions of things to pray about. We’ll gather in small groups for part of the time, and we’ll spend some of the hour listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying to us. The time will fly by and we’d love to have you join us for one hour.

YOUR PRAYERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

February 22, 2019

Through Prayer we invite the power of God to work in and through us!

Something amazing happens when God’s people pray. It’s more mystery than math, but throughout Scripture we see God move in miraculous ways when his people turn their hearts to him in prayer.

So much great ministry is happening at each of our five campuses every week, and in community groups and neighborhoods across the Pikes Peak region. We know that prayer is the fuel that powers it all.

Will you plan to be part of our 24 Hours of Prayer coming up on March 8 and 9?

Prayer is an essential part of who God calls us to be as His church. So round up some friends or family and join us in prayer for one hour out of the 24.

I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. - Psalm 17:6

December 6, 2018 | Niki Scott

As a Gift of Love Celebration volunteer, we wanted to give you an inside scoop. We are excited to announce that Stu Davis is joining the Woodmen team as the City Impact Pastor and he’ll be serving with us this Saturday!

Watch this video to hear more from Pastor Josh and Stu Davis.

More about Stu

Stu loves Colorado Springs! He has spent the last 15 years working both in and alongside local churches, seeking to build unity and collaboration for some of our city’s biggest challenges. He has spent the last few years serving at Springs Rescue Mission, where he helped bring over 50 churches together to fund and establish Colorado Springs’ first and largest low-barrier homeless shelter and resource center. Prior to that, Stu spent nearly a decade on the pastoral staff at Woodmen. Stu has been married to Abby for 18 years, has three Colorado Springs-born children (Maryn, Raina, and Kemper). Please warmly welcome Stu to the Woodmen ACTS team the next time you see him!

I’m looking forward to serving with you on Saturday at the Gift of Love Celebration!
