Recently, a team of Woodmen Residents journeyed to Nicaragua to serve alongside ORPHANetwork in their work with local communities and churches!

The Nicaragua team embarked on a transformative journey, arriving in Nicaragua with a mission to serve. Connected with the host organization, ORPHANetwork, and Verbo Church, they eagerly anticipated their first day in the Posoltega community. Through home visits, the team shared moments of faith, leading a community member to Christ and providing families with essential food items, accompanied by heartfelt prayers.

As the days unfolded, the team actively engaged in various activities, including contributing to ORPHANetwork's feeding program, leading worship, and delivering a compelling talk on being an example. A puppet show and craft sessions filled with childlike joy underscored their commitment to connecting with the community's children.

The team's focus shifted to empowering women in the community, leading discussions, crafting sessions, and sharing messages of worth and value in God. The week continued with more home visits, food distribution, and a heartwarming movie event for the children, emphasizing the parable of the Prodigal Son.

Expressing gratitude for the support and prayers received, the team bid farewell to the community leaders, reflecting on the impactful week. As their journey neared its end, they took time to bond with the local leaders, sharing reflections and appreciating the transformative experiences. Despite the imminent departure, the team left Nicaragua with a sense of fulfillment, thanking God for the meaningful relationships forged and seeking prayers for a safe journey back home.
