The Chosen is powerful storytelling—but it's art, not Scripture. This class uses each episode’s Round Table discussions to build practical Bible-discerning skills (each roundtable consists of a highly respected evangelical seminary professor, Messianic rabbi, and Catholic priest). Each class will focus on reading the Scripture passage(s) each episode is based on, understanding the genre of writing, learning about the cultural context of the passage, and drawing meaning from the text rather than reading ideas into it.

By exploring core Scripture-first methods, participants will practice identifying artistic license to ensure screenwriters' choices are never mistaken for what Scripture says. The goal is a simple habit: enjoy the show but always come back to Scripture first.

This class is intended for all. This class will have some homework. Childcare is provided with registration.
