Called to Confidence, 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5

August 30, 2020 • Josh Lindstrom • 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5

When the church in Corinth was being divided into factions, the apostle Paul did not try to rally people to himself with a superior style or intellect, but instead chose to preach Christ crucified in the power of the Spirit so their faith “might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

Sermon Points:

I. We are not about wisdom but power. 1 Corinthians 1:18-25

II. We are not about merit but grace. 1 Corinthians 1:26-31

III. We are not about us but others. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
