Unwrapping of Love
Gift of Love is changing lives in big and small ways!
A few years ago, Glenn and Betsy, Woodmen attender, crossed paths with a mother of three through Family Life Services, one of Woodmen’s local ministry partners. Family Life Services works with single mothers, many of whom have faced challenges like abuse, addiction, and financial hardship, offering them a chance to rebuild their lives through support and empowerment.
In 2021, Glenn and Betsy introduced this mother to the Gift of Love program. Since then, they, along with their community group, have surrounded her with care—hosting dinners, organizing game nights, attending school plays, and including her family in special moments like Easter church services and family outings. Their connection has grown so deep that this mom even visited Glenn while he was recovering from hip surgery.
The Gift of Love Celebration is just one part of this journey, but it beautifully highlights how the people of Woodmen are stepping up to serve and support those in our community.
This year, this mother will again be part of the Gift of Love Celebration, and you have the opportunity to brighten Christmas for families like hers. You can drop off new, unwrapped gifts during weekend services on Nov 30 or Dec 7, or you can contribute by shopping through our Amazon wish list. Together, we can make a difference this Christmas season.
