Guatemala Day 4!

Hey Families 🥰!! We are just finishing up another amazing day of serving and having fun 🔥! We had so many heart warming moments with such loving kids. But don't worry we have plenty of hilarious stories to tell 😏. We woke up absolutely exhausted from our busy past couple of days, but reared and ready to go for another amazing day 💵😎. Fueled on coffee and pure anticipation, we boarded our bus and played a riveting game of "Mount Rushmore" a new experience for some of us 🤪. As we arrived to our UNUM home base, we all excitedly prepared new curriculums for our 3rd day of camp 😃. Things started off with new and exciting songs and dances. Shout out to 👖 (Lyla) as she danced with a little girl in the front row ❤️. Then we were off to a day full of exciting water balloons, engaging bible skits, fun crafts, and brand new songs in worship 🥸. We had a few mishaps in the first half of the day. To start, Trev - dog (Trevor) was tackled through a glass window, shattering glass across the lawn 😱. To clarify, no one was hurt and the kids were just trying to be playful and engage with there awesome skits team 🫶. We had another scare later this morning when a phone went missing. Luckily, despite some miscommunications, the phone was soon recovered by none other than our very own Ry-ry (Rylie) and returned safely to Pickle 🥒 (Olive). Speaking of pickles, Joe's (Charlie's) stolen pickles were delicious, but thats getting ahead of the story 😏. We ate a delicious lunch (double decker Pb and Js 🥪 were inspired by Gigi (Grace), thanks girl 🫶) and listened to the translated testimony of one of the teachers at the Cruz Blanca learning center ❤️. Lunch soon came to a close and it was time for more fun with the kids. We once again had a smaller group in the afternoon. With only twelve kids, we decided to all rotate together. It was a great chance to experience what our fellow teammates had been working so hard on 🔥. After a, yet again, funny 😂 and touching experience with these kids, we headed off with some translators, teachers, and Josh to experience the community first hand 🙈. We were all moved by the joy on the Guatemalans faces when they saw Josh walk by and invited us into their homes. While the living conditions were rough, the people are truly hardworking and welcoming people. We learned about how they weave and got to watch them in action. When our trip through the community came to an end, we all agreed that it was a major God moment. We loaded up and played Heads Up on our way back to Mimi's House. We devoured our amazing burgers 🍔 😋 and had a good laugh as we stole 🥷 Joe's pickles off his plate when he left the table. Devo was lead by Jake da Snake 🐍 (Jake) and we all listened to now known as "Rylah's" (Rylie and Lyla's) testimonies. We all then reflected on Jake da Snake's wise words about loving others by singing heartfelt songs about God's everlasting and reckless love ❤️. To finish off the day, while waiting for vacant showers, we all played among us. Well not us because we were writing this 🤪. All in all it was a fun, God filled day.❤️🥰
