Peru Team has Arrived!

Hola y bienvenidos al primero de, con suerte, muchos blogs sobre Perú.

Bet you thought the whole blog was going to be in Spanish, gotcha there. Don’t worry I can’t speak Spanish so I’ll write the rest in English. The past two days have been our travel days. Oooooo, ahhhhhh, so glamorous.

When leaving on Saturday we took a night flight to Panama where each of us got precisely an hour of sleep to then land in Panama. Then we got on another flight!!! Who saw that one coming?? On this flight we were able to gain more sleep before landing in Lima, Peru. We were able to experience the culture in the airport by going to TGI Fridays for lunch and Starbucks for dessert, cultured I know. We had a bit of a long layover, so we were able to meet up with our ministry partner Mike and collectively hangout as a team and bond before heading on our next flight to Iquitos. 

Then BOOM, we landed, and as soon as we walked off the plane onto the runway we were officially in Peru. On Sunday night we were blessed to stay in a quite nice hotel before heading off to our villages. When I say nice, I mean niccccce. I like to think they are buttering us up before sleeping on a cot for the rest of the week. 

We were so blessed to have very minimal travel complications and didn’t lose anyone, I consider that a win, win situation. 

Well thanks for reading, I tried to make the travel experience sound more exciting and exhilarating to read. We all can’t wait to see how God works throughout the week and to grow closer as a team in result. Thank you for all your prayers as we travelled and we appreciate all of your support.
