HS Estonia - Music Camp - July 10th

This day got off to a bit of a bumpy start. The girls slept through all seven of our alarms. We rushed to get ready and arrived at the team meeting late. We started off the day a bit tired, flustered, and nervous, but throughout the day our hesitations and doubts melted. The Estonians welcomed us firmly, making sure we were always interacting and participating in the camp. Both the Woodmen students and teachers experienced impactful connections, both big and small, with the Estonians. We played soccer and volleyball together, danced together, laughed in choir practice, learned some Estonian (hüvasti), had meaningful conversations in the silliest of places, and immersed ourselves in the people of this church and their mission. We still have more challenges to overcome and ways that we can still be stretched on the trip, but today was a really encouraging start to the week. We’re so excited to get to know our new friends better and see the ways that God will continue to work!
