Kids Growth Opportunities

Kids Growth Opportunities

Woodmen Kids values growing spiritually healthy families. We believe God designed families to pass down their faith to their children. As you parent, we want to come alongside your family, equipping and supporting you. The following three opportunities exist at different times throughout your child's time in Woodmen Kids through 6th grade.

Parent Child Dedication

From the moment you welcome a new little one into your family, we’re excited to support your commitment to raising your child to know and love God. Our Child Dedication Class is a time to encourage you with Biblical topics and prayer as you start the parenting journey of training up your child in the Lord. Once you’ve completed the class, you will have the opportunity to stand before your family, friends, and fellow believers to publicly make this commitment during a weekend service.

Each campus independently decides on the best timing to offer a class and schedule the subsequent public commitment during a weekend service. For more information, please contact your campus’ Early Childhood Coordinator or sign-up to be notified about future Parent Child Dedications.

Faith Foundations for Kids

Faith Foundations is a three-week class designed to walk kids in 1st-6th grade (and parents/guardians) through some key principles. We hope to lay the foundation of knowledge to spark deeper conversations between you and your child as they unfold their own beliefs. We hold the class on three consecutive Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings during weekend services at all four campuses. We also provide the class on three consecutive Monday evenings during the summer.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Creation
  • Fall
  • Redemption/Salvation
  • Becoming a Disciple
  • Understanding the Holy Spirit
  • Baptism
  • Studying God’s Word
  • Prayer
  • Worship
  • Communion
  • Community
  • Sharing the Gospel

  • We set the dates during our yearly calendar planning session, and our Kids Sr. Director, Kids Director, or Kids Central Coordinator teaches the class. A parent is required to attend with the child. We will add sign-ups once we solidify the dates.

    Kids and 56 Baptism

It is a joyful thing to see our children respond to Jesus, and when a child makes the decision to be baptized, we think it is a really big deal! That’s why we do things for kids who want to get baptized that we don’t do for adults.

If you are in 6th grade or below, completing the Kids Baptism Booklet and meeting one-on-one with a Kids or Students staff member is a prerequisite for baptism (alongside a parent/guardian).

    BOOKLET OVERVIEW:

  • Review: Sin & Salvation
  • Question: Do you believe in Jesus?
  • ABC's of Salvation: Admit, Believe, Confess
  • Why Baptism?
  • Testimony
  • Next Steps & Practical Tips

  • Please register your child/student for an upcoming baptism weekend or register to be notified about future baptism opportunities.
