Estonia - Day 7 - Last Day of English Camp
Yesterday was unfortunately the last day of camp:(
We began our day much like the others, with a team meeting. The Toompea staff led us in a time of discussion where we shared stories from the night before. One thing we’ve learned to really value on this trip is paradox. While one person may have had an incredible experience, another might have felt discouraged. Sharing our stories gave us the chance to support and uplift each other, which made for a really meaningful start to the day.
After enjoying our final bowl of breakfast porridge for the week, we moved into our last session with worship and a testimony from one of the leaders. You could feel the shift in energy as a few of the youth clearly had a powerful night before, and it was refreshing to witness that growth.
We also got to watch the video skits each group created, reenacting different parts of Acts. In my unbiased opinion, our group did pretty awesome!
After that, we packed up, took down the tent, and said our final goodbyes before hitting the road. We drove to Haapsalu, a nearby town, where we’re staying in a hostel. It was my first time in one, and it was cool to experience another part of European culture.
Later, we went to the local mall for dinner at Pizza Grande and picked up breakfast supplies for the morning. To end the night, most of the team played a game of Mafia back at the hostel while others slept!
